Grip Options
All Volkstaf® and Travlr® walking sticks come with a soft, comfortable foam grip. All Folstaf® wading staffs come with a floatable cork grip. Built directly into the staff, so they will never rotate or slip, is your choice of a compass or camera mount top (Folstaf® wading staffs are also available with a classic cork top - no accessories built into grip).
An accurate, high-quality, liquid-filled compass is embedded and recessed below the top of the foam grip.
All camera mounts on Volkstaf®, Travlr®, and Folstaf® staffs are built directly into the grip, making them
strong and dependable. The aluminum universal thread camera mount
has a protruding thread length of 3/16", and a 1/4-20 thread (20 threads per inch).
An aluminum medallion screws down over the universal thread, resulting in a flat surface
and greater comfort when your hand grips the top of the staff.
For the serious photographer we offer an optional ballhead mount
to complement the camera mount handle top. The ballhead mount allows the camera to swivel to different angles while the staff remains upright.
Storage Options
Volkstaf® Hiking Staff and Travlr® Walking Staffs fold to a mere 9 inches, close securely with a
Velcro wrap strap, and easily stow in a pack or bag. An optional holster
is available for storing your Volkstaf® or Travlr®. The reconstituted leather holster
has a top belt loop and the rivets are strong and dependable.
The Folstaf® Wading Staff is sold with a holster. Replacement holsters are available on the Folstaf® order page.
Tip Options
All Volkstaf® and Travlr® Staffs come with a rubber cap which fits securely over the carbide tip for
walking on streets, boardwalks or indoors. (The Folstaf® Wading Staff is not sold with a rubber cap). Additional rubber caps are available on the individual staff order pages.
